Architecture

APFC is thyristor switched detuned type Automatic Power Factor Correction Panel designed to cater the facilities equipped with fast changing loads such as Air Compressors, Power Presses, Injection Moulding Machines, Variable Frequency Drives, Motor driven Loads, Lifts etc . The System is based on real time switching that helps user to achieve near unity power factor.

SOFT SWITCHING

Static Switching eliminates the high inrush currents and voltage sags. The soft switching enhances the life of the power capacitors upto 500% viz a conventional APFC Panels without thyristor  switching.

DG COMPATIBLE

The POWERCOM SYSTEMS-PowerMax is designed to run on DG  Sets.

SMART CAPACITOR SWITCHING

The static switching Algorithm enables to use the  minimum Capacitors to achieve maximum power  factor. The evenly distributed usage of the capacitor banks prevents uneven aging of the capacitors,  hence uniform aging.

HARMONICS FILTERING

The Detuned Capacitor bank is equipped with  additional harmonics filter reactors to mitigate  harmonics.

WITH SCADA READY POWER MANAGER

The green-panel is equipped with a state of the art  Power-Manager for optimal utilization through  real time logging of measurement & indications  and protections. The power Manager logs real-  time values of Volts, Ampere, kilo Volt Amperes,  KVAr, Active Power, Reactive Power, Apparent  Power, Total Power, Cos φ per phase and linear.  Metering display in kilo Watt Hour, kilo Volt Am-  pere hour, kVAr, Phase Voltages, Line Voltages,  Negative Sequence Current, Zero Sequence Cur-  rents. Graphical display of total power, Fault indi-  cation with value, time and frequency.

SCADA COMMUNICATION

The Power manager is controlled through the bun-  dled monitoring and controlling software.  The  power manager is Supervisory Control and Data  Acquisition (SCADA) ready with available inter-  faces like RS 232, RS 485 Modbus RTU and TCP IP.  The data logging, Graphical analysis and report  generation is done at the remote end through the  bundled software.

PASSWORD PROTECTION

Password protection the system comes with a built  in protection mechanism to avoid the trespassing  and unauthorized usage with password protection  mechanism
